学英语三级分A，B级考试略低于A级考试。 　全称为“高等学校英语应用能力考试；B级是英语基础较薄弱的大专生考的。A级是优秀点的大专生考的，难度相当于初三至高中的英语水平，是过渡性的要求。原“大学英语三级考试”相当于“高等学校英语应用能力A级考试”、B两级，难度高于B级低于大学英语四级，英文缩写PRETCO”，原“大学英语二级考试”相当于“高等学校英语应用能力B级考试”，低于A级，A级考试为高职高专学生应该达到的标准要求。学校自主决定参加A级或B级考试。简称“大学英语三级考试”
