Brief Introduction of the College
Jilin Business and Technology College (JLBTC) is a provincial-governing college which was established in March, 2007 with the approval of China&s Ministry of Education through merging three colleges (Jilin Finance and Taxation College, Jilin Commercial College and Jilin Cereals College). The former three colleges were found in 1950s. During more than 50 college-running years, the three colleges made much devotion to the construction of some prestigious and famous-brand specialties such as accounting, hospitality, cereals, food, etc. They cultivated tens of thousands qualified graduates who serve in various fields of the country. After the merging, JLBTC insists on the education concept of &stressing character, building the high-quality course, basing on teaching, strengthening school with famous teachers& and the school motto &profound learning and sufficient thinking, great virtue and self-reliance&. During the course of the self-development, JLBTC enjoys great popularity in the construction of the local place as well as the whole nation.
Located in Changchun, the capital city of Jilin Province in Northeastern China, the college has three campuses in three districts of Zhengyang, Xi&an and Heping, covering a total area of nearly 500,000 square meters and construction area of 306,000 square meters. There are a collection of 1,000,000 books in the libraries, more than 3,000 sets of teaching and laboratory equipments and more than 6000 seats in multimedia classrooms and language labs. Digital and technological campus platform and service systems have been built by means of the internet computer network.
At present, there are 1037 faculty members 640 full-time teachers in JLBTC, including 315 professors and associate professors, 265 teachers with a doctor&s or a master&s degree. Some teachers are also the senior specialists, such as the national teaching masters, winners of State Council Special Allowance, authors of National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation, state-level culinary experts, selectees of &The Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University& by the Education Ministry, provincial highly-qualified specialists, winners in the second round selection of Jilin Province Outstanding Innovative Talents, specialists of outstanding achievement in Jilin Province and Ph.D. supervisors. Besides, the number of Chartered Public Accountants, Charted Property Assessors, Certified Internal Auditors, judges of Occupational Skill Testing (state and province level), experts, judges and counselors in national and provincial professional associations is nearly 100.
JLBTC consists of 11 colleges (Taxation, Finance, Accounting, Economy and Trade, Business Administration, Tourism Management, Cultural Arts, Foreign Languages, Biological Engineering, Food Engineering, Computer) and 3 departments (Basic, Social Science and Physical Education). There are 21 undergraduate professionals such as, public finance, taxation, science of banking, accounting, financial management, economics, international economy and trade, English, advertising, business administration, human resources management, logistic management, marketing management, tourism management, cooking and alimentation education, food science and engineering, biological engineering, cereals engineering, computer science and technology, electronic information engineering, mechanical d and 34 junior college specialties, which are included in four categories: economics, management, engineering and literature. There are 1 state-level distinguishing feature specialty, 2 state-level experimental teaching specialties, 5 provincial-level demonstration specialties, and 6 provincial teaching reformation specialties. We have got 1 national fine course, 6 provincial-level fine courses and 46 provincial excellent courses and been awarded more than 10 state-level and province-level teaching achievement prizes. The specialties and courses adapt to the social requirement.
Many academic research achievements have been achieved since the establishment of JLBTC. The teachers have published 387 articles (provincial level or above), which include 21 articles collected in SCI and EI, 15 articles published in key journals and 72 articles in core journals. In addition, 15 textbooks (above provincial level) have been printed, including 2 textbooks programmed by Education Ministry, 1 by the Ministry of Finance. In the last three years, JLBTC has taken charge of 112 scientific research projects and 91 teaching research projects (provincial or departmental level) with one of them awarded second prize in provincial Scientific-Technical Progress, one awarded first prize in provincial Natural Science Academic Achievement and 6 awarded provincial teaching achievement. All the above embodies the college&s important achievements in teaching and scientific research. &
JLBTC recruits students nationwide, including 14,000 full-time undergraduates and junior college students as well as 4,200 adult education students now. The graduates have good comprehensive quality and receive good commitment from the employers. The employment rate also takes the leading position among the colleges of the same kind. The undergraduates have won many prizes in some national competitions for college students, one of which is the gold medal of international ARDF tournament. 37 students elected as the 2008 Olympic (Games) Volunteers have been rewarded the title of &Chinese Golden Cook&. JLBTC pays attention to the construction of intellectual and ideological development and becomes the provincial intellectual and ideological development advanced unit in consecutive years.
JLBTC introduces the advanced foreign teaching resources from the universities in America, Japan, Singapore and other countries to develop cooperation program, academic exchange and collaboration.
As a general teaching and application-oriented undergraduate college, JLBTC widely attracts the public concern with its new image and good prospects. JLBTC insists on the party's education policy and scientific concept of development, takes teaching as the central work and reform as the drive, and spares no effort to build the prestigious and famous-brand specialties. We will endeavor to build the college into a top and satisfying teaching-centered college.

机房的老师太变态了，满口喷粪 口不择言，这怎么能为人师表，而且 机房真脏 ，网线也很差 ， 难道我们的学费就是给这种老师开工资的吗？这也太不值了 这种没有素质的老师怎么能 在我们这样即将升本的学校里面出现 呢？

我每次去食堂打饭，食堂的服务员 都会给我算错钱，而且从来都只是多算而不会少算，我都怀疑他们是不是都没上过学啊，而且他们的服务态度很差的
我们宿舍的环境太垃圾 ，冬天真的能冻死人的， 想过的好点就花钱吧， 大三的很黑 老师更是只认钱 我是06新生 我们寝室的人就没有不后悔的 但是没有办法都来了 ，所以你们还是别来了
我们这个学校录取分数高，学生素质奇低，都是走后门来得，呵呵，专升本么，只要有钱什么干不了啊，如果每钱就别来了，我们学生是高中的素质，教师是幼儿的师资。
