Accuride International Inc. was formed in 1962 as a division of a small tool and die shop, to manufacture and market a new concept in drawer slides. The original building was expanded several times and with the adjacent mill building it eventually grew to in excess of 300,000 square feet.In the mid to late seventies Accuride expanded overseas, and established operations in Germany, U.K. and Japan. In 1985 Accuride opened a facility in Charlotte, North C in 1988 another plant in Ontario, California was opened and in 1992 another facility in South Bend, Indiana. A year later a plant in Mexicali, Mexico was opened and in 1998 a second plant was built in Mexicali. The Santa Fe Springs location became the world-wide Corporate Headquarters.Today, Accuride manufactures and sells to numerous markets, which include commercial and residential office furniture, electronics industry applications (such as electronic server racks, ATM’s and copiers), various kitchen cabinet uses, TV swivel stands and an array of industrial product applications (such as tool boxes and storage cabinets) and automotive storage applications. A reputation for quality, innovation, on-time delivery and a well trained workforce has made Accuride a world class manufacturer and the largest ball bearing slide manufacturer in the world. I. FUNCTIONAL SUMMARY:Working closely and in conjunction with the OEM Sales and Channel Sales Managers, this role is responsible for developing and recommending long range goals and objectives for the China linear slide market. Working closely with the corporate marketing office, directs marketing activities which are to include the following.II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES:Marketing communication-develops in cooperation with the corporate marketing direction, the appropriate product message. Assists in the development of collateral materials appropriate for the Chinese markets. Oversees the graphic and copy representation to adhere to the goals, image and message in support of sales and to influence sales growth. Assists in the review and analysis of marketing activities such as trade shows, print costs, and on-going reviews of forecast sales data to determine progress towards stated sales goals.. New business development- directs the research into new channels and new markets that will influence sales management where they need to direct their efforts to gain new sales growth.New product development-responsible for managing the technical information coming from engineering for collateral use and researches the needs and demands of the marketplace to identify new products and/or product attributes. Collateral packaging-responsible for managing the material used or selected for shipping and displaying product. Manages the print process in support of the packaging of the product that influences the corporate image and influences sales.Confers with Suzhou vice-president and other line executives to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.III. NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES:As necessary, performs other related functions of which the above are representative.IV. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: At least a four year college degree in marketing or business and a strong understanding of sales and marketing Significant related experience may be acceptable in lieu of a degreeA minimum of five years experience in marketing management or similar position SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Must be proficient in English both written and verbal. Must posses a high degree of ethics, motivation, reliability, organization, energy and enthusiasm. Must have a moderate level of technical aptitude in order to effectively communicate with the market place and our internal engineering staff on products and applications. Must know Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Must have knowledgeable of some aspects of ISO 9000 procedures such as:ISO Training knowledge in:401 Management responsibility 402 Quality systems requirement 403 1-.2 Contract/order entry review 404 1-.2 Design control 405 2 Document control 407 Control of customer supplied product 413 Control of nonconforming product 416 Control of quality recordsTOOLS/EQUIPMENT/MATERIAL USED on the Job:Laptop Computer, Fax Machine and Mobile phone.DIRECTION EXERCISED:The Marketing Supervisor is responsible for all personnel within his group, and ensures all Accuride policies, including the Accuride Quality Policy and Contract Review Procedures are adhered to. The direction exercised should lead to increased customer satisfaction and sales growth in ChinaEFFORT REQUIRED: Unusual scheduling and working early and late hours are often required. Week-end travel and work are some times required SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS:Combination of office and field sales work. Travel requirements may reach 30% or more at times. Some international travel is possible.
