World-Class Sound with Superior Apollo A/D and D/A Conversion
The original Apollo, introduced in 2012, quickly became a gold standard among modern music producers and engineers & it now counts many of the world&s top artists as users. Apollo 8 improves upon the original Apollo&s sound quality with completely redesigned, class-leading A/D and D/A conversion & giving you increased dynamic range and even lower THD. Building upon a 50-year legacy of circuit design, UA engineers started with an obsessive audition of the latest converters, pairing them with completely redesigned analog circuitry. Confirmed by extensive double-blind listening tests, the end result is 3 dB better dynamic range on both A/D and D/A conversion versus the original Apollo, placing the Apollo 8 as the measurable class leader.
Realtime UAD Plug-In Processing for Tracking, Mixing, and Mastering
Imagine having a classic analog studio, in single rack space. Apollo 8 lets you record through UAD Powered Plug-Ins & including vintage EQs, compressors, reverbs, tape machines and more & at near-zero latency, regardless of your audio software buffer size. With award-winning UAD plug-ins from Ampex, Lexicon, Neve, Manley, Roland, SSL, Studer, and more,* Apollo 8 serves up authentic analog tone and warmth.&
The key to its analog sound is onboard UAD-2 DUO DSP Processing, which powers the UAD plug-ins while reducing the strain on your host computer.&
Apollo 8 comes bundled with &Realtime Analog Classics Plus& suite of UAD plug-ins. From there, you can choose from a vast and expanding collection of plug-ins in the UA Online Store.
Four Mic Preamps with Unison& Technology
Apollo 8 comes equipped with four Unison-enabled mic preamps, letting you track projects with colorful mic preamp sounds from Neve, API, and Universal Audio. An Apollo breakthrough, Unison technology nails the tone of these sought-after tube and solid state mic preamps & including their impedance, gain stage &sweet spots,& and component-level circuit behaviors. The secret to Unison is its hardware-software integration between Apollo&s mic preamps and its onboard UAD-2 processing. Simply place a selected tube or solid state preamp plug-in on your desired mic input, and record in real time through stunning emulations like the bundled UA 610-B Tube Preamp plug-in, or the Neve 1073 and API 212L.
Impedance and Gain Matching&
Apollo 8 is further enhanced by adding Unison technology to its front-panel Hi-Z instrument inputs, giving you dead-on impedance and gain matching for new stompbox models like the Ibanez Tube Screamer TS808.
Improved Monitoring and Workflow&
Apollo 8 features a host of front-panel upgrades over the original Apollo, including Alt Speakers, Dim, and Mono functions as well as input and output metering capabilities.
Expand Your System
Thanks to Apollo Expanded software, users of Thunderbolt-equipped Apollo Twin, Apollo 8, Apollo 8p, and Apollo 16 audio interfaces can combine up to four Apollos and six total UAD-2 devices & adding I/O and DSP as your studio grows. Apollo Expanded also provides seamless integration with previous generation Apollos over Thunderbolt.
A Sleek New App
With Apollo 8&s Console 2.0 application & a complete re-imagining of Apollo&s original Console software & you can take advantage of over 25 new user-requested features such as Channel Strip presets, Drag & Drop functionality, dynamically resizable windows, and more.

The US-1x2 is the ideal USB audio interface for entry-level users. It is small, lightweight and economically priced, but nevertheless of high quality. The model features one microphone and one line/instrument input and an RCA unbalanced stereo analogue input as well as an RCA unbalanced analogue output. It enables you to record or stream to the Internet vocals and a single instrument or a stereo source, or archive your cassette tape collection - at up to 96 kHz/24 bit using virtually any major DAW software or recording app under Windows, macOS or iOS.
The US-1x2 features a Tascam original ultra-HDDA mic preamp with very low input noise and a high gain range of 57 dB for dynamic mics as well as phantom power for condenser mics. Further features include latency-free direct monitoring, a headphones output with level control, stereo/mono input monitor modes and a mute switch on the software settings panel. A license for Cubase LE including Cubasis LE is also included. And - last but not least - the interface can be operated in standalone mode for practice sessions when used with an external power supply.
Vocal/instrument recording with outstanding performance:
A recording environment with low noise and great audio performance is a relevant factor for vocal and - in particular - wind instruments. The US-1x2 features an Ultra-HDDA microphone preamplifier with an EIN figure of -127 dBu. This very low noise level makes this interface the ideal tool for recording with condenser microphones. You can also plug in your electric guitar or bass directly using the line/instrument input and use plug-in effects on your computer recording (DAW) software. Or connect any instrument amplifier's line output to the line input of the US-1x2.
The US-1x2 is also a great tool for composing on the road. Combine it with an iPad and you can record your ideas with high quality wherever you go.
Even if you're not so familiar with recording equipment, the US-1x2's user-friendly design enables you to use it right away.
Perfect for music playback from your computer:
The US-1x2 can improve your sound when playing music from your computer. No matter if you create your own dance music using software synths and other plug-ins or if you play back commercial music on a birthday party - with its high audio quality and separate controls for headphones and line outputs (loudspeakers) the US-1x2 easily turns your computer into a good-sounding playback device.
You may have noticed that your sound system is not very loud when powered directly from a computer. When using the US-1x2 to feed your power amplifiers, its high line output level ensures you get the maximum power out of your sound system.
Ultra-HDDA Mic Preamps Provide Pristine Audio Quality:
Tascam Ultra-HDDA Mic PreampThe Ultra-HDDA (High Definition Discrete Architecture) mic preamps used on the US-1x2 feature a discrete construction. They have a higher number of components and are far away from mass-produced preamps. Their EIN (equivalent input noise) rating, which measures the absence of noise, is as low as -127 dBu. Including other specifications, the US-1x2 achieves a very high level of audio performance overall and a signal-to-noise ratio of 100 dB. Parts have been selected through listening tests for balanced audio performance and audio quality at a high level.
Tascam Ultra-HDDA Mic PreampHigh-Performance XLR Balanced Microphone Input:
The US-1x2 adds a balanced microphone input to your computer. Computers usually don't have such professional connectors but if you want to achieve studio sound there's no way without it. Balanced connections are less sensitive to interference caused by other electrical signals (from mains power cables, for instance). Also, balanced connections are required to provide phantom power to high-quality condenser microphones.
The XLR mic input on the US-1x2 can provide 48-volts phantom power to condenser mics and it offers enough gain (up to 57 dB) to cope even with less expensive dynamic mics.
Tascam Ultra-HDDA Mic PreampSecond Input For Instruments:
Unlike your computer, the US-1x2 offers an instrument input for direct connection of an electrical guitar or bass. This means you can record or stream your instrument without the need for an instrument amplifier. Use plug-in effects (available as an option) on your DAW software to create truly professional sounds.
Tascam Ultra-HDDA Mic PreampRCA Stereo Input For External Audio Devices:
You can also connect external equipment to the US-1x2 like a cassette deck, CD player or even your smartphone using a conversion cable. Why not archive your cassette tape collection to your computer? It's really simple. Or record or stream your keyboard performance in stereo.
