BackgroundPierre E. Cohade has lived and worked globally in four continents, building and leading multi-billion dollars businesses, in many cases after turning them around. Pierre is currently Senior Advisor to ChinaVest, Wells Fargo&#39;s Investment Bank affiliate in China. ChinaVest is a merchant bank established in 1981 and is dedicated to cross-border M&A and strategic advisory for both multinational and Chinese corporations.
Most recently, Cohade was the president of Goodyear Asia Pacific. Between 2004 and 2011 he led the turnaround, repositioning and fast expansion of this critical part of the company, and delivered 23 quarters of record financial performances.
Under Cohade&#x2019;s leadership, Goodyear Asia Pacific earned recognition beyond its financial success, receiving numerous third party awards for its product innovation, brand building and retailing network accomplishments. Cohade&#x2019;s passion for building winning teams and talent development also saw Goodyear named China&#x2019;s &#x201c;Employer of the Year&#x201d; in 2010 and 2011.
The business community elected Cohade governor of the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai from 2006 to 2010. Pierre joined IBLAC, Shanghai Mayor&#39;s advisory council, as an Observer in 2007 and was named Overseas Economic Advisor to the Mayor of Dalian in 2009.
Cohade has also been actively engaged in community life. Unicef recognized him as &#x201c;Champion For Childen&#x201d; for his fund raising and contributions to the Sichuan earthquake recovery in 2008. Pierre has also been awarded the &Magnolia Award& from the Shanghai Municipal Government.
A native of Barcelonnette, France, Cohade received a degree in business management from the SKEMA business school in Sophia-Antipolis, France, in 1984 and an MBA from the Penn State University in 1985.

Reported directly to the CEO, regularly interfaced with the Goodyear Board, led other corporate officers, and chaired multiple boards across the region. Built an organization and led a team that transformed the Goodyear Asia-Pacific business from a laggard to one of the most successful in the Goodyear organization.Strategic and operational responsibility for Euro 2.5 billion business in Europe, Africa, the Americas and Japan. Focused on gaining or holding market share in all markets targeted by Danone&#39;s competition, while improving profit margin, stimulating product innovation and improving decision making processes.As Chairman of Europe, Africa, Middle East and Russia, led governance, corporate affairs, back-office and shared resources support to all Kodak business units in its most complex region (US$ 5.5 billion revenues). As General Manager of Consumer Imaging, led a US$ 2 billion consumer products, services and retailing business with 6,000 employees and full P&L responsibility.Led a US$ 1 billion consumer products, services and retailing business across this critical Kodak region (China, India and Australia) with 2,200 employees.Led the global iconic Consumer Film business, Kodak&#39;s largest cash and earnings contributor and its brand anchor.
