Letters in the Scrabble Word Finder
At the top of our Scrabble Helper you see an input field named letters. Here you have to type in a maximum of 9 letters from a to z. The Letters you enter in here are likely to appear in the Scrabble word finder results, but don’t have to.
The use of a pattern in the Scrabble Word Finder
Besides the letter field you have the option to make use of a pattern, with which you are able to specify your search for words from letters to special a situation on your Scrabble board. For all the possibilities take a look at the table below. Note, you have only up to 15 characters for the pattern.

Letters from a to z are marking a field into which a letter was already placed and can’t be changed. Uppercase and lowercase are equally handled by the Scrabble cheat. If one or more letters are given, at least one of them is used in each of the results.
The dot marks an empty field without bonus points.
The 2 marks an empty field with a double letter score.
The 3 marks an empty field with a triple letter score.
The 4 marks an empty field with a double word score.
The 5 marks an empty field with a triple word score.
With dots you can also limit the length of the resulting words in the Scrabble Word Finder. You have only to put in as many dots as you want the results have to consist of maximally.
Use your patterns again
If you want to use your patterns again, you have the opportunity to choose between up to five of your last used patterns by pressing on the last pattern below the pattern field. Now our Scrabble Helper opens your pattern list, so you can choose one which will be put into the pattern field automatically.

Additionally, you can also choose between options for your Scrabble Word Finder request.
Compatible to the Scrabble rules, our Scrabble Word Finder gives you the opportunity to set up to two blank tiles for your request. Blank tiles will be highlighted green in the Scrabble Helper results.

“Sort by” gives you the opportunity to sort the results pointswise or lengthwise.
Scrabble Word Lists in the Scrabble Word Finder
In addition, you can use one of two different word lists or both. In the USA, Canada and Thailand the commonly used word list is the Tournament-Word-List (TWL). The SOWPODS is recommended for the other English language areas.
More Options for the Scrabble Word Finder
With the additional options menu you can highlight the the double or triple word or letter scores, or you can align the resulting words by the pattern.
