phonology：音韵学,语言学 一门研究各种语言内部语音模式的学科.历时音系学(历史音系学)考查和分析语音声音体系在一段时间内的变化,如英语sea(海)和see(看见)这两个词中的元音曾一度发音不同,而演变至今则发同样的音.共时音系学(描写音系学)研究一种语言在其发展的某一个别阶段的语音,揭示它可能存在的语音模式(如英语里nt和rk这两组音只能出现在词的中间和词尾,而不能出现在词首).phonetics：语音学,发音学 研究言语的声音学科.语音学研究它们的发音(发音语音学)、声学性质(声学语音学),以及如何组合起来构成音节、词语和句子(语言语音学).最早的语音学家为印度学者(约公元前300),他们试图保存梵文经文的发音.古代的希腊人被证明是首次以语音字母作为书写系统的人.现代语音学的创立者为A.M.贝尔(),其《语音图解法 》(1867)研发一套书写语音的精确符号体系.20世纪时,语言学家专注于开发一种分类系统,可以用来比较所有的人类语音.现代语音学关注的另一个方面是语音感知的心理过程.

phonetics 是语音学.phonology 是音系学(注意：不是音韵学,音韵学是historical phonology,即历史音系学).phone 是音素,在语音学中常常研究音素的发音、传播和感知,因此音素体现语音的自然属性,音素跟具体的语言无关,比如音素[i]在汉语、英语、法语、日语中都存在.phoneme 是音位,在音系学中音位是某一语言的语音单位,音位是一个抽象单位 (即an abstract unit ),音位和音位之间的关系通过区别特征相互区别,所以每个音位是一个区别特征单位 (即 a phoneme is a unit of distinctive value).因此音位跟具体的语言相联系,是能区别意义的最小的语音单位,在汉语普通话中[a A ɑ]这三个音素是同一个音位,虽然它们有很大差异,但是在汉语普通话中不具备区别意义的功能,因此都属于同一个音位,写作ɑ.以“妈”为例,一个人发[ma]、[mA]、[mɑ]的意思都一样,都是“妈”.allophone 是音位变体,就是归入同一个音位的不同音素,以汉语普通话的ɑ音位为例,包括四个音位变体,即mai中的[a],ma中的[A],mang中的[ɑ],以及mian中的[ɛ].注意：以上文本中凡是带“[ ]”的字母都是以国际音标标写的音素,不带“[ ]”是汉语拼音或英文.Approaches to Phonology and Phonetics 2015

phonology：从功能角度出发,对出现在某种特定语言中的语音及组合、分布规律供紶垛咳艹纠讹穴番膜进行研究的语言学分支.Phonology aims to discover how speech sounds in a language form patterns and how these sounds are used to convey meaning in lingustic communicationphonetics:研究语言的自然属性,人是如何发出声音的,音与音之间如何组合,如何分类等等.the study of the characteristics of human sounds used in speech简单说,如果一个人发音不准,对于phonologist来说,并没有什么影响,因为他只研究语音表达的意思,只要这个意思表达了,它的功能就达到了.他不研究语音的发音,只研究语音的功用.而对photicist来说,发音非常重要,发音不同,则研究对象不同,因为他就是研究声音的!
