ADV7186是一款高性能、单芯片、多格式视频解码器和处理器，集成LVDS Tx和LVDS Rx。ADV7186模拟前端包含一个高速、10位ADC，将模拟视频信号数字化。ADV7186模拟前端最高支持SVGA（60 Hz时800 × 600）的输入分辨率。ADV7186包含48个像素引脚，其中24个为输入，24个为输出。
ADV7186BBCZ-T包含与ADV7186BBCZ相同的特性，只不过用TCON(LCD时序控制)输出代替LVDS Tx输出，且不支持LVDS Rx。
ADV7186BBCZ-TL是ADV7186BBCZ-T的降低功能版本，不支持外部SDRAM。其他功能都与ADV7186BBCZ-T相同。
该多格式解码器包含一个标清处理器(SDP),支持将复合视频或S视频输入信号形式的PAL、NTSC和SECAM标准信号转换为数字ITU-R BT.656格式。
ADV7186内置一个主分量处理器(CP)，可处理YPrPb和RGB分量格式，包括RGB图形。ADV7186模拟前端支持将RGB/YPbPr视频信号解码为数字YCbCr或RGB像素输出流。支持的分量视频包括525i、525p、625i、625p、720p和1080i等标准，同时支持QVGA到SVGA图形速率。
CP内核也能以最高WXGA的分辨率处理输入像素引脚或LVDS Rx的视频。
视频信号处理器可执行边沿自适应场内去隔行，从而确保卓越的低角边沿以及抗闪烁滤波性能。视频信号处理器允许在常见视频分辨率之间缩放，最高可提供WXGA输出（输出帧速率始终等于输入场/帧速率）。ACE可改善视觉细节。翻转/镜面能力可对不同的相机安装方向进行补偿。
独立的BT.656通道允许访问SD和CP内核的输出。同时，输出像素总线或LVDS Tx可逐出通过输入像素总线或LVDS Rx总线接收到的视频数据。仅在ADV7186BBCZ的情况下，用于BT.656通道的引脚与外部存储器接口共享。在ADV7186BBCZ-T和ADV7186BBCZ-TL的情况下，用于独立BT.656通道的引脚与外部存储器接口和TCON[10:0]引脚共享，允许用户根据喜好进行选择。
ADV7186可接受主画面上高达两层的叠层。叠层的来源可能是TTL/LVDS Rx和/或EEPROM位图、低成本叠层。这些叠层可以使用α混合和色度键叠加在输入视频流上。

are as follows:
Commercial: 0 to +70 degrees Celsius
Military : -55 to +125 degrees Celsius
Industrial: Temperature ranges may vary by model. Please consult the datasheet for
more information.
Automotive: -40 to +125 degrees Celsius
Indicates the packing option of the model (Tube, Reel, Tray, etc.) and the standard
quantity in that packing option.
