情态动词may的用法
1、 Excuse me. Which is the way to East Park, pleuse? 劳驾，请问东方公园怎么走？
这是英语中常见的问路方式，请看下面的句子：
Which is the way to the zoo, please?
Which is the way Beijing Hospital?
另外，还有几个问路的方式：
Could you tell me the way to ……, please?
Where is ……, please?
How can I get to ……?
例：Excuse me . Could you tell me the way to the station, please?
2、go along, go on, go down, walk on 这四个动词短语在本课中都是形
容行走路程的，表示一直往前走，继续走的意思。通常在为别人指路时使用。而还有一个与go down相反的动词短语go up也可以用。只不过go
down是由城市中心向外走，而go up是由城市外围向城市中心走。下面看一下这几个词组的例子：
Go along this street and you’ll see a cinema at the end of the rood.
一直向前走，在路的尽头你会看到一家电影院。
Go on until you see the first crossing
继续往前走，直到你看到第一个路口。
3、be in hospital 住院
在课文后你还可见到in the hospital 在医院。请你在考试中一定要注意带the与不带the的关于医院的这两个词组的
考题中经常在这方面做文章，例：选择中有：
(D)He is a doctor. He is .
A．at the hospital B．in hospital
C．at hospital D．in the hospital
4、It’ll take you half an hour
你将花费大约半个小时。
动词take在这个句型中，当“占用；花费”讲，常构成下列句型：
某人花费若干时间做某事。
it在此句型中为形式主语；to do sth才是真正的主语，放在句尾。take是谓语；sb是间宾；some time是直接宾语。属我前面所给句型中的第四个句型。例：
It takes me about an hour to do
my homework every day.
我每天大约花一个小时来做作业。
It took them three hours to get there.
他们花了三个小时才到那里。
It will take her two days to finish the work.
她将用两天来完成这项工作。
5、maybe和may be的区别：
maybe是副词连句中位置可前可后；如：
Maybe you are right. 你可能是对的。
6、情态动词may的用法
①表示同意、许可或请求对方许可
You may take it away.
You may go.
②表示可能性，是“可能，也许”的意思。
He may come today.
You may not be wrong.
③请求或提建议时，可以用May I ……？
May I help you?
May I watch TV this evening?
