Did Call of Duty: Ghosts earn the most playtime of any new game in its 30-day launch window? No! Did Path of Exile, the free-to-play RPG based on the philosophy of “ethical microtransactions” and built by a relatively tiny team in New Zealand rack up more launch hours than a transmedia IP with a tie-in TV show and a game with the DC license? Quite probably!
