一、在VM虚拟机上方
：虚拟机—–&安装VM tools
然后发现桌面会跳出如下问题。
客户机操作系统已经将CD-ROM门锁定，并且可能正在使用CD-ROM，这可能会导致客户机无法识别介质的更改。如果可能，请在断开连接之前从客户机内部弹出CD-ROM
选择—-&安装
选择—-&是(Y)
然后点开你的虚拟机坐下角的
CD/DVD光盘驱动图标
如果你点开之后里面有这个压缩文件，如上图。则说明你的可以直接安装。请继续参看下面的步骤三。可以跳过步骤二。如果你打开你的CD/DVD光盘驱动器发现里面什么都没有。那么不用急，看第二个步骤解决。然后第三个步骤再次安装。
二、出错问题解决
首先关闭你的Ubuntu虚拟机。然后在你的电脑里面搜索linux.iso。这是一个镜像文件。其中提供了linux操作系统平台需要的一些工具文件，当然包括VMware Tools安装文件（如果你没有这个文件的话，留一下邮箱我发给你，一般都有的）。为方便我们可以直接把它（linux.iso）复制到和你的Ubuntu镜像相同的文件夹下。如下图
然后去你的虚拟机开启界面。选择编辑虚拟机设置
将CD/DVD（STAT）的映像文件路径改为你刚才复制的linux.iso
修改好了以后，就可以重新启动虚拟机。然后再次点击安装vm tools。点击DVD光盘驱动图标，然后就出现vm tools的压缩文件了。之后的步骤参看步骤三。
三、安装vm tools
将你的CD/DVD光盘下的这个文件复制到你的工作目录“文档”当中然后打开终端，首先将你的用户切换到root下。su root
。如果root没有设置过密码可以输入sudo passwd root设置一下root密码。再用su root切换。
切换好之后在命令行输入如下指令
tar -xczf VMware....(解压那个文件)
cd vmware-tools-distrib
./vmware-install.pl
剩下的事情就是见到yes。就输入yes。其他的就一路回车按（Enter）。直到最后，然后重启一下虚拟机.vm tools就安装好啦。

&&&&&先来吐槽一下、安装了一天了，&本着简便快捷的原则安装了VMware精简版，结果遇到了鼠标不能把选中文件在虚拟机和电脑系统之间来回拖动问题，现在基本把问题全解决了，特地把解决方案分享一下，省的大家把不必要的时间浪费在配置环境上。
准备工作：
（一）一定要先安装&build-essential&软件,否则不能够顺利安装
&&&&命令：sudo&apt-get&install&build-essential
（二）要安装包，这个包要在配置VMware-tools之前装，即可以在安装VMware-tools前装，或者在成功安装了VMware-tools之后配置之前装，否则会提示找不到&C&header&files，要求你指定路径。可是这个linux-headers包要和你下载的ubuntu版本匹配，可以用命令：uname&-a&来查看你安装的版本。
命令：sudo&apt-get&install&linux-headers-`uname&-r`
安装VMware&Tools
（一）下载&Linux.iso&链接
（二）加载linux.iso到虚拟机光驱
这里在ubuntu下演示，ubuntu下会自动将linux.iso&mount&到&/media/下
注意：可能遇到镜像无法挂载的问题，设置完在桌面看不到镜像盘符，那么需要确定默认断开光盘连接，也就是说光驱处于Disconnect的状态。&
&&&&&&&&&打开配置，CD/DVD里面的驱动器状态connected的没打上，当然系统也就无法挂载光驱了。
&&&&&&&&点击虚拟机右下角的光盘图标，settings更换光盘后，再选择connect。一切OK&
（三）把里面的文件全部拷贝到虚拟机桌面的自定义文件夹里面
&&&&&&&&注意：大家安装的时候一定要先把拷贝到自定义文件夹里面的文件的权限更改下，要不在安装的时候会遇到问题。
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& 举个例子：
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& 例如那些很多个文件夹放在目录下面，那么执行：
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&chmod&-R&777&/subbo
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& 将目前目录下的所有档案与子目录皆设为任何人可读取&
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& chmod&-R&a+r&*
（四）进入当刚才你更改过权限的自定义目录下，在终端打入命令：
&&&&&&&&&&
sudo&./vmware-install.pl&&回车
&&&&&&&&&&
注意：sudo后面有个空格！回车后会要求你输入账户密码，就是你安装ubuntu时候的密码。密码在这里是不会显示出来的，连星号都没有，输入完了直接按回车，就正式开始安装了。
（五）持续关注安装过程&

还有好多步骤，大家安装就是一路回车下去就了。
注意：安装完毕了一定不要着急关闭终端，需要验证是否安装成功
&&&&&&&&& 方案一&&&&可以敲个命令：
&&&&&&&& 会显示所有安装成功的模块。其实你需要关注是以开头的模块，可以在终端敲的命令来简化下关注的内容，
&&&& 命令为：lsmod&|&grep&vm
&&&&&& 这几个模块成功安装成功你就基本完成安装了。&&&&
&&&&&& 方案二&&&在终端里输入vm并连续按两下tab键，会出现很多vm开头的命令，如果你看到有vmware-config-tools.pl这个命令，就说明生效了，如下图：

最近在VMware6.5.1上安装了ubuntu-10.04.4-server，遇到很多问题在此记录下来，系统安装过程一切顺利，系统也能正常运行，后来需要向虚拟系统传送文件，网上说可以安装VMware&Tools通过文件共享的方式解决，按照步骤安装，安装过程中vmhgfs模块（这可是共享文件用的模块）和其他几个模块一直编译失败，报：tmp/vmware-config1/vmhgfs-only/compat_wait.h:78:&error&:&conflicting&types&for&'poll_initwait'导致unable&to&build&the&vmhgfs，/mnt/hgfs/文件夹一直为空，无法看到共享文件夹，期间尝试了网上多种方式问题都无法解决，跑到compat_wait.h下把源文件改了还是不行，问题的根源是VMware&Tools编译时需要Linux内核版本跟ubuntu-10.04.4-server（Linux&2.26.32-38）系统内核版本不一致导致的，后来没办法换了个高版本的虚拟机VMware&7.1.0，编译成功以上称不上是个好的解决方式，只是给有问题的童鞋提个路子，起码能实现文件共享，ls&/mnt/hgfs里面不在为空；换个高版本的VMware，没必要浪费太多时间在那上面，我们的目的是传文件；
VMware6.5.1的VMwareTools安装包是VMwareTools-7.8.4-126130.tar.gz

&&& 正常安装了VMware&Tools以后，设置共享文件夹神马的都成了浮云，在VMware的VM-&Settings选项里边选择Options，如图：

因为同是Linux系统，而且与Debian同源，因此在Ubuntu12.04安装VMware Tools与《【Linux】在Debian安装VMware Tools》（点击打开链接）大同小异，但是在Ubuntu安装VMware Tools更加便捷快速。
1、首先在主机的虚拟机中菜单选择&虚拟机&-&&安装VMware工具&
2、之后Ubuntu会弹出一个已经加载好的光盘设备。直接对光盘中的tar.gz复制到/tmp，这个文件夹，装完重启后里面的内容会消失，反正安装文件留来也没用了。
3、点击左边的&文件系统&找到tmp文件夹进入后粘贴，就是一个Windows操作。
4、之后直接右键解压缩。Linux自带压缩软件。
5、压缩完毕，使用Ctrl+Alt+T打开终端，毕竟在Linux中安装东西还是以root用户进行，还是需要输入密码的。输入如下指令：
cd /tmp/vmware-tools-distrib
sudo ./vmware-install.pl
第一行的意思是进入tmp/vmware-tools-distrib文件夹，此处cd的含义与windows的一样。
sudo ./vmware-install.pl是以管理员身份运行这个文件，不加sudo如下图所示它根本就不让你运行。运行完这个命令，输入密码的时候注意，Linux中的密码连位数都不显示的。不要以为没有反应。该输什么就输什么，不要乱按键盘，就是你安装本系统时候的密码。
6、输完一直按回车，所有东西按照默认设置来运行就OK了，来到某几步，如下图，按完回车没有反应，是因为安装在进行中，Ubuntu正在卡机。按一下回车就好了，不要乱按回车了。
7、之后，直到看到Enjoy提示，命令行重新出来，就可以输入如下命令重启系统了：
sudo reboot
reboot命令也是只有超级用户才能执行，输完还要输密码，还不如右上角那个重启方便。
8、等待Ubuntu重启之后，你发现在你设置&视图&-&&自动调整&-&&自动调整客户机&之后
你的Ubuntu终于能够充满整个屏幕，就证明VMware Tools已经安装完毕了。

得到文件夹vmware-tools-distrib
4. 再使用sudo ./vmware-install.pl安装即可
注意，接下来只要一直按Enter键即可
5.重启，剪贴板的共享，即复制和粘贴，已经可以工作了。
.再去顺带看看文件夹共享，是否也可用了。
