一个男人修床，他先买了钉子、锤子，又去废弃场捡了许多板子和木头。回到家里他用锯条把板子据成和床垫一样大小的，木头也锯成粗细长短一样的四小节。又把这几节木头用钉子固定在床板下方的四个角上，还在床的顶端做了一个小床头柜，最把床垫放上去，这就是一舒适又美观的新床了。由于天气太热，他把床放到了房顶上，用四根粗粗的绳子的一端分别绑在四只床腿上，另一端则分别系在周围的栏杆上，这样即使夜晚有大风天气，床也不会被吹到楼下。
